Community Connections

At Saugatuck Public Schools, education extends beyond the classroom. Saugatuck is a vibrant, creative, and connected community that shares in the district’s mission to support students, families, and lifelong learners.

In addition to the SPS Community Recreation programming, local organizations serve as partners in enriching the lives of SPS students to strengthen the culture of learning in Saugatuck and Douglas.

The SCA is a creative hub offering live performances, professional art exhibits, educational workshops, and student engagement opportunities. SPS students benefit from arts education partnerships, hands-on experiences, and field trips that support creativity and cultural exploration.

Saugatuck-Douglas History Center

Dedicated to preserving the rick history of the area, the History Center connects students to local heritage through museum exhibits, walking tours, and educational programs. It brings history to life and encourages civic pride and understanding of place.
